LA Galaxy ace David Beckham has labelled his hostile reception from a small section of his own fans since his MLS return as a 'disgrace'.
The England international angered supporters in Americalast January when he quit the league to join Italian giants AC Milan
on loan.
Beckhamis now back across the Atlantic following the loan switch and has received a frosty reception from some, including LA Galaxy team-mate Landon Donovan.
However, Beckham was pleased with the reception he was given in LA's 1-1 draw against Kansas City Wizards, stating the criticism has not taken its toll.
Great
"It's been great," said the 34-year-old of his reception. "The fans have been great. The reaction from Kansas City fans was really good.
"It was only from a small section of our own fans, which was disappointing and a disgrace to be honest, but at the end of the day it's not something I've never had before."
Despite the largely positive reception from fans in Kansas City, Beckham was heckled by a spectator wearing an England shirt who verbally abused his family.
Beckham also clashed with a fan during his first home game for the Galaxy, actions that landed him with a £600 fine.
Second confrontation
The veteran midfielder eventually shook hands with the fan, but has questioned his nationality even though he was wearing an England shirt.
"He shouldn't be wearing that shirt because what he was saying about my wife was a disgrace," he continued.
"I've had it all before. I've heard it all before. I've not heard that for a long time.
"For an Englishman to be saying that, maybe he's not an Englishman."
