Friday, July 17, 2009
Jamaica's referee team of Courtney Campbell, Ricardo Morgan and Anthony Garwood will officiate in the CONCACAF Gold Cup quarter-final match between Mexico and Haiti at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Texas on Sunday.
Campbell, a Jamaican police officer, will stand in the middle with experienced assistant referees Morgan and Garwood. This will be Campell's second match at the tourney, having done duties in the game between the USA and Honduras in Washington in the group phase.
The fourth official will be Geoffey Hospedales of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Mexico-Haiti match-up will be the second of a double-header, with Caribbean outfit Guadeloupe down to face Costa Rica in the opening contest.
The other two quarter-final matches will be played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and will feature Canada up against Honduras and USA taking on Panama.
Jamaica's Reggae Boyz crashed out of the tournament at the group stage, after failing to secure one of the spots for the best third- place finishers.
