Long story short;
The main incident was The mexican coach clearly kicked at the knee of a panamanian player. The game was delayed for over 10 minutes.
Such a pity most of the forum missed this one.
Aguirre apologizes
Mexico coach said he's sorry for his "improper behavior" during the game against Panama at the Gold Cup; in the end, he was sent off."I apologize to all the Mexican fans, the team, the press and all the people working for the national soccer team. I didn't act properly today," Javier Aguirre said during a press conference after drawing 1-1 against Panama at the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Mexico coach said the reason for the incident that took place at minute 80 was "a touch between him and myself as I wanted to catch a ball."
"He was running by inertia, and I shouldn't have been in his way," Aguirre said.
The coach admitted he feels "truly sorry" for having been out of the place where the coaching staff must stay, said El Salvador referee Joel Aguilar did the right thing.
Being in contact with Panama's Ricardo Phillips made Aguirre feel himself hurt and answered back to such aggression; as a result, the player was sent off too. In the meantime, the game was suspended for 10 minutes.
Aguirre said that despite the final result, "I'm glad for the team's performance and attitude. Yet, we still have a lot to improve, and fast."
