  • The loss of John Barnes is a big deal!

A very big deal for Jamaica indeed.

Barnes was in the process of introducing a football philosophy to Jamaica.

A significant part of that philosophy was about mind-set, approach to the game at specific periods and overall concentration.

John Barnes had a much bigger rolodex than Tappa. Barnes had reach and influence. I believe if Barnes was incharge of the Reggae BoyZ, King (as well as others) would be a part of the gold cup squad.

Losing John Barnes is a very big loss for Jamaican Football.

King more than likely wouldn't make it.

I doubt very much the British government would allow him to leave while he is on bond. what maybe they would give him an ankle bracelet?

Yes, it's a loss. However, JB and Tappa have very good rapport with each other and became friends. I suspect that Barnes will help Tappa any way he can. It would have been great to have Tappa as coach and Barnes as TD, but such is life.
