    Subject: GSM COACHING EDUCATION - What's the Vision Your have for Your Next Season?

    Casting a Vision for Your Team, Assistant Coaches and Every Player

    Vision casting is important, we all do this. But how do we get our vision into the hearts of our player to work as a team? Repeating the vision over and over is good. Practice in your session your vision for your team and how your players will play in groups of 3, 4 and 5 together. Your vision and how you cast must penetrate the hearts of our players.

    Not every player will get it right away for whatever reason. Be patient. They are not yet full pros. You may only have 5-6 that get your vision and what is expected to play good football and to be successful. The others will come if from those that have caught your vision and from and your never giving up mind set. Do it my good coaching and love. Don't give up. Remember what I've said don't look right, left or backwards. Only go forwards.

    Before you give up on vision casting here are three ideas to make your vision come to life in the heats of your players:

    1. Bring clarity to your vision. Make sure your vision is one clear statement verbal and you may have to be able to demonstrate in training sessions so they understand. It's good to make sure they get it and that if you need to repeat it go for it. Just be careful how much time you speak and you do not use the field practice session time with words rather than they showing you their actions. Ever notice how many vision statements have a list of value statements in them? Bring clarity to your vision - make it simple, direct, and easy to understand. This will help your followers engage with the vision. If you want to test this with your players, ask yourself this question:

    "Whom does this vision serve?"
    Then ask your players and see if the answers match. If they don't, then you need to bring clarity to your vision. Do not cause confusion.

    2. Bring community to your team. Vision often deepens from authentic relationships between leader and players. Do you know what's important to your players? Remember what I've said,

    "You bring something to the fields and the game for them not you. You are serving them".
    Do you know their family situation or what pressures they face outside of your field coaching and match times? Getting to know your team and helping them reach their personal goals is an effective way of instilling vision deep in their hearts (mind, body and souls). Do not separate your players.

    3. Bring commitment to your vision. Often times when players don't buy our vision hook, line, and sinker we think we need to make changes or need to go in a different direction. This just confuses them and leads them to assume you don't have a clear plan. Instead, put action steps in place to bring your vision to life. Do not allow them to believe they will not succeed. Point them in the direction they need to go and a direction that if you were being coached for success that you would like to travel.

    Never give up on vision casting. It is a powerful tool in the hands of you the leader/coach. Vision has the power to motivate and inspire your players, your community and nation. It has the power to end frustration and bring the joy to your team.
