  • Wallace replaced in St James

Orville Powell won the race to be the next president of the St james FA at the AGM on Monday night.

Powell won the race 52-20 in what to me was a shockingmargin, given that Wallace was not that bad an administrator.

I never throught the margin would be as wide as that.

Not sure what the reaosn was but could be a combination of factors including the main one that the delegates lost confidence in Wallace as he was seen to be playing both sides of the JFF politics and never came out and stood for what he believed in.

He pretended to be balanced and sitting on the fence but word on the ground was that both Boxhill and Burrell found him out quickly and neither of them would work with him.

As said it a was shocking defeat and you wonder if he will ever recover form this and make any future contributioin to football at all.
Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.
