look if you believe that then good for you.

it is quite likely that we never got to see the best of what tappa had to offer having begun a pro career at age 26 or 27.

Infidelity does not consist in believing, or in disbelieving; it consists in professing to believe what he does not believe. Thomas Paine

Ha! That's a good one, since in your very first post of this thread you take a shot at Bradley!

But you sure don't like it when anyone points out the facts on Tappa's club career, do you?

To call it "mediocre" would be flattery!

And the fact is that it never happened, and he spent the bulk his career abroad in the English 4th division.
Bigger teams called for the man even when he went to England at first and he still decided to go to England even though he could play in higher divisions in other countries. He spent his time there and dominated until the incident with Steve Malcolm and was a top notch International performer. The man has dominated some of the best teams in the world. Quite simple.

...dominated is a very dominant word.

          you used it twice

Go to FIFA.com and type in Tappa's name. He scored more goals in WC 98 than the entire US 98 team.

Can you argue the current topic? Given the resources of the USA, are they palying at their best or they underperforming? If you have nothing to offer just say it , trust me I will understand.
Note that he can't address your basic point that the US is a PATHETIC underperformer in football given its resources and its 15 million players (give or take a few million) in organized leagues.

Redneck sticks with the red herring, diversionary argument about Tappa.

                        Pathetic.

Well if his first choice was the English 4th division then I can only imagine the countries that the other offers were coming from.

                              So that was it??

He played in the World Cup, the Gold Cup, numerous WC qualifiers and was based in the UK for several years. That's a lot of time on display in the shop window.

Yet the pinnacle of his club career was in the English 4th division. That speaks for itself.

Typically shallow reasoning from a typical yankee hurrycomeup.

Having played and been a standout in the biggest tournaments around and against top drawer players is all Tappa needs to cement his place as a prime time player.

Club achievements are secondary or less.

You need to cut the folly fellow...
