The JFF has said for years, it is not there responsibility to provide fields for the country, that is the role of the governmnet.
But lets take your premise a step further, say the govt got the JDF to use their heavy equipment and free labour to clear lands and make fields, who will maintain them?
My thing is that there is no shortage of fields in the island, there is a shortage of properly maintained fields.Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.

...forgive me?..just my bad in thinking the JDF was but an arm of/another 'department' of the government.
...and silly me thinking 'the government' may just see this 'football thing' as an aid to relieving social pressures, providing for recreational outlet and development of positive social behavioural mores...and as Minister Babsy Grange states provides gainful employment and needed tax revenues....
