15.8.06 - CONCACAF announced this week the preliminary rosters for all the teams (Canada, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Mexico & USA) that will compete at the inaugural Beach Soccer Championship (FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2006 – Qualifier Costa Rica) at Punta Leona in Puntarenas, Costa Rica from 13-17 September. All the five teams submitted to the CONCACAF General Secretariat their respective preliminary lists of players. The final 12-player rosters for the CONCACAF event are due 15 days prior to the first matches of the tournament.
The CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship will also qualify two CONCACAF teams to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2006 taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 2-12 November.
The CONCACAF tournament will be played in round-robin format with doubleheader encounters on each of the five match dates. COMPLETE SCHEDULE
