        16. Ricardo Fuller – Stoke
        The tall Jamaican frontman had a formidable scoring record during his early years in the English game but was susceptible to knee injuries. But his career took off when George Burley pushed him out of Southampton to Stoke City on transfer deadline day in August 2006 and he played a key part in the club's modern history. His first season was certainly eventful, with 11 goals and a poor disciplinary record of two red and 10 yellow cards. He soon became a fan favourite at the Britannia Stadium as he scored the goals that powered the Potters into the Premier League in 2008. One memorable incident was the time Fuller slapped the face of his own captain Andy Griffin, earning himself a red card for violent conduct. His goal tally waned but his influence remained, with Fuller delivering a 'Martin Luther King-esque' (Ryan Shawcross, 2011) speech to inspire Stoke to a 5-0 win over Bolton in the FA Cup semi-final
