Claude Davis given three match ban for clash with Roger Johnson
Claude Davis, the Crystal Palace defender, has been found guilty of violent conduct and given a three-match ban by the Football Association over his clash with Cardiff City's Roger Johnson.
The on-loan Derby centre-half was accused by Cardiff of elbowing Johnson in the throat in a challenge which led to the Bluebirds defender being taken to hospital.
Russell Booth, the referee, took no action at the time and Davis denied the subsequent charge.
But an FA regulatory commission has today found the 30-year-old guilty and he will now sit out Palace's last three games of the season.
