The United States Men’s National Team climbed two more spots in the FIFA/Coca Cola World Rankings and is now back into the top 15 despite their recent 2-2 draw against El Salvador. An assured 3-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago may have helped the American's upward mobility, however.
Spain still tops the list and 12 of the 14 spots in front of the Americans are held by European teams.
Mexico, CONCACAF’s second-highest ranked team, dropped two spots to 25th while Honduras and Costa Rica sit side by side in 39th and 40th. The U.S. jumped Paraguay and the Ukraine who are now both out of the top 15 after disappointing results in World Cup qualifying. The Ukraine fell eight spots from 14th to 22nd while Paraguay fell from 15th to 17th.
