Marlon King is accused of sexually assaulting and punching a woman
Footballer Marlon King has appeared in court accused of attacking a woman in a central London nightclub.
The Middlesbrough striker allegedly sexually assaulted and punched the 20-year-old in Revue Bar in Brewer Street, on 7 December last year.
Appearing at Westminster Magistrates Court Mr King, 28, from Hertfordshire, spoke to confirm his name.
He has been charged with sexual assault by touching and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was granted bail until 14 May when he will appear at Southwark Crown Court.
The footballer, from Waltham Cross, is currently on loan to Middlesbrough from Wigan Athletic.
He was on loan to Hull City at the time of the alleged incident and was arrested on 10 December.
