        that is their annual salary?

i'm wondering, is the highest paid football player, the best football player in the world?

is beckham at 32, in his prime?

          At present, no!

          No!

Aside: best player, highest paid player

...but I would think at some times in the past those two things would have converged or at sometime in the future they shall converge?! Reasonable to think so? Right?

This includes endorsement deals and whatever other contracts they have, not just the salaries from their clubs.

Shola - are you sure about that? I think Becks makes far more than 32M in endorsements alone annually. But that is just a guess.

Couldnt have said it any better. Most people assume that the contract he had signed with the Galaxy and the one with Real Madrid previously was actual salary when it fact it isnt. A huge chunk of his salary includes endorsements and Image rights. Why else would LA Galaxy sign him to an offer like that? They're not going to hand him a 5 yr deal worth 250 mill out of their pocket just like that.

                    mmmm?
                    634,615.38 per week (approximately)?????
                    mmmmmmmm????

...and you appear to be correct!
The article did say "earners" and that would cover income from all sources related to his football.
