Brazilian coach Valdemar de Oliviera coached Harbour View for the last time but could not inspire his team to victory over Arnett Gardens in an exciting 0-0 draw in the Digicel Premier League (DPL) at the Compound yesterday.
De Oliviera, who took charge of Harbour View at the start of the season, will be taking over the coaching reins at Nautico in Brazil.
The Brazilian had Harbour View leading the DPL tables for most of his time in charge, but with yesterday's game being his last, Harbour View dropped two crucial points and could be replaced at the top by Portmore.
Harbour View, with their hard- earned point moved to 58 points, while Arnett remained in seventh spot on 36.
Whether Harbour View maintained their lead or not, De Oliviera thinks he has set a foundation for them to succeed.
"Of course we will win," he added.
Harbour View, playing without top striker Kavin Bryan who is off to Norway and the injured Jermaine Hue, were second best for most of the game, though created a few half chances.
They were, however, lucky not to lose all three points as Newton Sterling missed an easy goalscoring opportunity in the 89th-minute.
Leon Strickland turned two defender inside out on the touchline and crossed for Loxley Thomas who should have scored but instead past to Sterling who kicked wide from close range.
Teams:
Harbour View - Dwayne Miller, Lennox Wright, Dicoy Williams, Kevin Wooley, Lance Laing, Ronny Amaguana (Clifton Waugh 59th), Lovell Palmer, Girvan Brown, Marcelino Blackburn, Jahmali Spence (Errol Stevens 35th (Andre ************an 81st), Denzil Watson
