Yall still need to win your games and not bank on Costa Rica winning because nothing is guaranteed. Same applies for the young boyz tomorrow. I never like when teams who have their fate in their own hands leave it to someone else to determine whether or not they advance.

Canadian striker Randy Edwini-Bonsu
3/9/2009 - MACOYA, Trinidad – Randy Edwini-Bonsu scored a pair of goals in the final 15 minutes, leading Canada to 2-0 victory over Mexico on Monday and resurrecting its chances to reach the semifinals at the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship.
The loss was the second for Mexico and, combined with a 0-0 draw between Trinidad & Tobago and Costa Rica later Monday, eliminated the 10-time CONCACAF champion from contention.
The results before a capacity crowd of 4,000 left Trinidad and Costa Rica atop Group B with four points each, one ahead of Canada. Mexico was last with zero points and only a match against host Trinidad & Tobago remaining on Wednesday. Canada will face Costa Rica on Wednesday with the winner advancing to the semifinals. A draw also would advance Costa Rica to the semifinals.
Two teams from each four-team group advance to the semifinals and the U-20 World Cup in Egypt September 24-October 16.
Mexico, which has reached the U-20 World Cup 10 times – second most in CONCACAF, failed to qualify for third time in the last five tries. It was playing less than a month after Juan Carlos Chavez replaced Jesus “Chucho” Ramirez as coach of El Tri.
Edwini-Bonsu, who plays for the United Soccer Leagues’ First Division Champion Vancouver Whitecaps, scored in the 75th and 81st after Canada was reduced to 10 men. Shaun Saiko received a second yellow in the 54th and was ejected.
Canada is seeking a fifth-straight trip to the U-20 World Cup and ninth overall.
Like Canada, Costa Rica played most of the second half with only 10 men. Jose Mena was ejected in the 53rd
