Played 6, Won 1, draw 3, loss 2. From a possible 18 points Villa has taken 6.
Yet for all that based on quality outfield play...sweet and effective movement off the ball, the GUNNERS are right there with ManU, Liverpool, Chelsea and arguably a notch above Villa.
Arsenal has fared very well against those above her in the standings.
If we are all agreed that the 'big boys' always come into these matches fired up and playing for all they are worth then the GUNNERS have done better than ManU, Chelsea and Aston Villa. Liverpool has a 3 point advantage on the GUNNERS here.
The above stats coupled with manner of play shows the GUNNERS are playing as sweet and effective as ever save and except in the area of goalscoring...
...and has that ever hurt her?
In matches the GUNNERS most often has greater possession and number of chances created. She needs the firepower upfront to catapult her once more to winning trophies. Talk of Arsene Wenger's wilting as coach and the GUNNERS pending demise are premature. Wenger has his golden youth minus consistent scorers. Fill that need for goalscorers and the glory days should return.
Go GUNNERS!
