Real said that the 30-year-old, who scored his first goal for the club since April in the Cup tie, would require rest and treatment but did not say how long he would be out of action.
Ronaldo had only just recovered his fitness after undergoing surgery on his left knee following the World Cup. He has been in the starting line-up for just one of his side's nine league matches this season.
