Both nations will be fielding their strongest teams, with Kingston born John Barnes, the Liverpool and England legend, at the helm of the Jamaican national team.
For the resurgent Reggae Boyz, (who have leaped from a low FIFA ranking of 128 to current FIFA ranking 66 in just 14 months) this will be the chance to build on their recent Caribbean Championships win in December.
The Super Eagles are also soaring up the FIFA rankings, jumping from 45th to 17th in 12 months under the management of Shaibu Amodu. With the 2012 World Cup finals in their sights, the match in London is essential preparation for their opening Group B qualifier away to Mozambique in March.
Jamaica coach John Barnes told us,
"Nigeria is one of the World’s top teams so it will be a competitive match for us. We are now stronger than we have been for some time as a national team.
We have quality players that we will blend together with the right balance, spirit and mentality but of course we also need the right tactics.
I would say to all Jamaica fans from across the country, come and enjoy the game and expect a good performance!”
    Widespread talent on show
Nigerians grace championships across the globe with their talent, from the English Premier League, French Ligue 1, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A and Spanish La Liga.
The likes of Nwankwo Kanu, John Obi Mikel and Joseph Yobo provide the backbone of the national team, but there is new talent on the horizon too.
