  • JFF/UTech Coaching School launch set for Monday

    Saturday, January 24, 2009

WITH a mandate to improve the quality play at all levels in the nation's football, the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) in partnership with the University of Technology (UTech) will be launching a coaching school on Monday at 10:30 am.
A JFF press release said: "The coaching school is consistent with the federation's mandate coming out of the 2007 Congress to improve the sport at all levels in the country. The coaching school will incorporate present coaches who have minimal formal training, physical education teachers who want to upgrade their skills and individuals new to the field who wish to make coaching a career."
The press conference to launch the historic football coaching school is scheduled to take place at Lillians Restaurant and will be attended by Sports Minister Olivia Grange, JFF president Captain Horace Burrell, UTech's president professor Errol Morrison and co-ordinator of JFF/UTech Coaching School, Dr Winston Dawes.
