Two Sundays ago, I visited Ferdie Neita Park for a Premier League encounter between hosts Portmore United and Meadhaven. Unfortunately, it was not the quality of the football that left an indelible impression on me, but rather, the chilling sight of a team official pulling a knife from his waist to remove loose tape from a player's uniform in the presence of the fourth official.
