It was a pretty easy game for us. Nothing to write home about. Vernan looked good but I'd like to see him against tougher opponents to judge him. Special thanks to the 500 "die-hard" supporters who turned up for the FINALS. Wayne Walker has a nice tv voice but he kept calling the New York RedBulls the MetroStars. Congrats to the Boyz for winning a tournament. Regardless of how insignificant many people may think of the competition, it looks good on our and JB's resume - Digicel Champions.Hey .. look at the bright side .... at least you're not a Liverpool fan! - Lazie 2/24/10

Nothing exceptional. I think we lost some control of the middle when he came off though. The game looked like a practice match, and at no time was I even worried about the Grenadians scoring. It seems like John Barnes style is not to have much of a holding midfielder in the middle. Andy was used more as a forward.
Barnes attack seems to be all about speed, at least for now. I hope it changes a somewhat in the future. If you notice the midfielders pretty much pass the ball very quickly and more times just push it over for a foot race to the forward or down the wing.
Playing against better teams we have to disquise it a little better. I know the style is developing and I hope in next few games we get somebody in the middle to stamp the class and hold up the ball now and then. Jason Morrison was good but we need another traffic copin the middle right behind the forwards.- Don't let negative things break you, instead let it be your strength, your reason for growth. Well he is using tactics based on the players we have. We have speed demons like Shelton, Richards, Cummings, Campbell-Ryce, and now the new find Evan Taylor. Right now Jamaica probably have the fastest team, man-per-man in CONCACAF. Why not play to our natural abilities? No me agree with that to use the speed but once in a while it needs to be disguise and a attack develop through the middle. Once in a while you need to hold up the ball in the middle of the park, to pull defenders out of position.
