    RE: Manager ratings!

    Premiership Manager Ratings -

As the Premiership season unfolds we are looking to gauge how you think every Premiership manager is performing. Are they doing a good job at the helm, or are they letting the fans down?

Is a manager displaying tactical genius or sheer ineptitude? Remember, take into account what each coach is expected to achieve this season compared to the team's results along with problems they might have with injuries.

    Premiership Manager Ratings - November

    Sir Alex Ferguson 90%
    Team: Man Utd
    Record: Won 9, Drawn 1, Lost 1
Votes: 1,968 Month Three: Perfect month for Fergie's flyers.

What a month for Man Utd. Not only are they winning, but they're scoring goals as well. Who needs Ruud when you have Rooney. The youngster banged in a hat-trick against Bolton to finish the month off well, as United stormed back to the top of league with a series of impressive performances. 16 goals in 6 games make it a good month for the manager, and more importantly they only conceded one Premiership goal at Wigan. Rooney's firing, Scholes is back and Ferdinand and Vidic are keeping things tight, next month could be even better if that's possible.

    Martin O'Neill 84%
    Team: Aston Villa
    Record: Won 4, Drawn 6, Lost 1
Votes: 239 Month Three: Villa draw machine finally lose.

Well it had to happen sometime. Martin O'Neill tasted his first defeat since joining Villa in the summer, away at Liverpool. Yet his side continued their draw fest for the rest of the month adding Tottenham and Fulham to the list, while finding time for an emotional return to Leicester in the Carling Cup. Villa showed they could win a game by beating the Foxes 3-2. O'Neill has been told he has money to spend in January- if I were him I'd buy a striker or two.

    Harry Redknapp 83%
    Team: Portsmouth
    Record: Won 6, Drawn 1, Lost 4
Votes: 149 Month Three: Realism sets in for high-flying Pompey.

When you've had the kind of flying start that Harry Redknapp's men have enjoyed so far this season, then coming back to earth was always going to hurt. This month, Portsmouth tasted defeat on more than one occasion, and started haemorrhaging goals as well. Two at Tottenham and Chelsea saw reality set in, before Newcastle put them to the sword with a 3-0 win in the Carling Cup. Still, Portsmouth are picking up points and wins over Reading and West Ham mean they are still in 4th position. Not bad for a side supposedly on their way down this season.

    Steve Coppell 80%
    Team: Reading
    Record: Won 4, Drawn 1, Lost 6
Votes: 106 Month Three: Life can be tough when you're at the top.

Having started the campaign most impressively, Reading realised this month that they are in the big league, coming up against Chelsea and Arsenal. Winning their first match at West Ham, it all went downhill from there. A goalkeeping bloodbath and a Mourinho fuelled firestorm dented their ambition and they went on to lose against Arsenal, Liverpool and Portsmouth before the month ended. Steve Coppell won't be too disappointed given the standard of their recent opponents and Reading still look odds on to stay up this year.

    Paul Jewell 78%
    Team: Wigan
    Record: Won 4, Drawn 2, Lost 4
Votes: 77 Month Three: Wigan carry on the good work.

Funny old game football. If Wigan win their game in hand then they'll jump up 6 places in the table, and everything doesn't look quite so bad. Paul Jewell has had a tough month, what with the visit of Man Utd- ending in a rather unsavoury 3-1 defeat and an away loss at the tough tackling Blackburn. Yet the second half of the month saw a Man City side humiliated 4-0 and the final game was a good 1-0 win at Fulham. Not quite as impressive as last season, but things are looking up- even Emile Heskey has started scoring!

    Rafael Benitez 78%
    Team: Liverpool
    Record: Won 5, Drawn 2, Lost 4
Votes: 825 Month Three: Rafa eventually stic
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
