By January, some folks will hear, "Beep Beep."
By Mid March they will hear, "That's all folks."
Actually, the KOP moved to the top with a whimper. Their next two fixtures are gimmes; a chance to take advantage of Ince and his Blackburn team, then a chance to stave off a Reggae Boy and the Upsetter Hull team. But, but, but, then there is the chance for Shady Pines to erupt in Merrymaking on the 21st as the KOP face the not so little side who are skinning their teeth unlike anything we have seen in years.
As for Chelski, they have Bolton, West Ham and Everton. They will drop points somewhere along the way.
Then to the Big Man Side. We will punish Keane and his Sunderland, fend off the Hot Hot Hot Spurs, then spank Wigan.
It is quite likely that since we now have 28 pts with a game in hand, Chelski at 33 pts and KOP at 34pts; by the 22nd we could either be even with KOP or be right on their shoulders with our game in hand. Of course, they have an inferior goal difference compared with us and with Chelski. Mark my word, by the beginning of the year we will see that the KOP (let me watch my mouth) climaxed too soon, and in a most unimpressive manner. Darn dinosaurs telling stories of the eighties and other forgone eras!
How many years now the story come out the same?
