Liverpool's star midfielder Steven Gerrard is celebrating 10 years at the top of his profession.
The goalscoring midfielder, whose strikes have been key to Liverpool's success over recent years ranks high in the list of best Premier League midfielders.
Main man: Liverpool's Steven Gerrard celebrates scoring his 100th for the club
But he doesn't makes Sportsmail online's top five.
Top five Premier League midfielders
Roy Keane (Manchester United)
On top: Roy Keane of Manchester United
The daddy of them all. Manchester United's inspiration for a decade and the best midfielder to grace the Premier League. His performance in the 1999 Champions League semi-final against Juventus in Turin will never be forgotten by anyone who witnessed it.
Paul Scholes (Manchester United)
Top technique: Paul Scholes of Manchester United
An absolute joy to watch - comfortably the best English midfielder since Paul Gascoigne, Scholes would have been welcomed at any club in the world. It will be a sad day for any true football fan when Scholes finally hangs up his boots. A true great.
Patrick Vieira (Arsenal)
Muscling in: Patrick Vieira for Arsenal
It's no coincidence that Arsenal have been potless since the big Frenchman packed his bags for the fading glamour of Serie A. An absolute beast and, as Arsene Wenger has discovered to his cost, impossible to replace. Bone-shuddering battles with Keane were always a highlight of the season.
Frank Lampard (Chelsea)
Late arrival specialist: Frank Lampard of Chelsea
Not as technically gifted as Cesc Fabregas or Steven Gerrard, but Lampard makes the top five for his incredible determination and remarkable form over the past five or six years. Scores goals, makes goals, stops goals, Lampard has worked at his game to become one of the most complete midfielders in world football.
David Beckham (Manchester United)
Superstar: David Beckham
Forget the haircuts, forget the brand and definitely forget the sarong and simply remember Beckham's brilliance between 1995 and 2003 at Old Trafford. Celebrity image will always precede him, but Beckham's contribution to Man United's Premier League dominance should never be underestimated.
