  • What this taught me is

it takes 4 years to prepare for a world cup and not 3 months.

We wasted our time not playing our team togather and trying out different players in different formations. We have rotated our coaches but did not address the foundamental problem we had and that was our defense.

Every coach who came in execpt Tappa started all over again. We need a good program where we can vet our youngsters while old stalwart like Pepe, Andy Williams and Tyrone Marshall cannot be left to rotif we are developing a team.

We have a lot of quality from King, Fuller down to Woodbine and the taylors and with the proper growth environment Jamaica can compete within the region.

I am proud, very proud because until the last three home games, I have been tired of the scores we were getting and we still hve something to prove on the road but it makes it easier when you can win at home.

Good luck Jamaica and I think we will be strong with players like Obrien White, Akeem Priestly, Denver Orgill, Jermaine taylor, Evon Taylor, Lyle Adams(if he choose to play for us) and so many other youngsters on the horizon I think we can become a top 40 team again the next few years with any decent half structure in place. I look to a great future.

    What 'shape' is that
    half decent structure
    you envisage?

We have to be more inclusive. What the JFF have to do is alot their very best coaches to regions(within Ja), and work with youths in the different regions and watch their developement.

The have to include some of our college players, making preparation to include them at least once a year to keep a top of their progress. Have timely inclusion of UB40s. Give them a chance to make the team and look at them during a break and include them in the team, don't wait until the last minute. keep better tab of our players and let them get more familiar with our system and their fellow players.

We need a better structure if we want to go anywhere.
