14 min. Ecuadors goalie made an error, leaving Castillo with a possible open net, but the defense recovered and cleared the ball.

Ecuador get s a corner kick at the other end, the corner kick was cleared, but Ecuador got a shot that missed the left post by two feet.

8 min. GOAL ECUADOR ! Free kick from right side line, even with 18 yard line headed in by Isaac Mina from the left post.

17 min. Another bad turnover by Mexico defense in their own end. Ecuador lost the ball on the thrown in

19 min. A nice passing display by Mexico around Ecuadors 18-yard box, but the ball eventually goes to the goalie who easily picks it up.

20 min. Nice crossing play by Ecuador from the right side. The header just missed the left post.

OBSERVATION: Mexico, using a slow buildup from the back, is controlling the possesion. However, Ecuador is creating the more dangerous chances.

Observation: Mexico is having no trouble getting the ball into Ecuadors half, but cannot penetrate Ecuador's defense in the box to create quality chances on goal.
