  • Bill Re:William Jr.

I was talking to a friend about his team and he told me they play Dartmouth( your former team yesterday) He is assistant at Adelphi. He said he say you at the game.

He said there were two little youths in the middle of the park juggling and he said Gorgon Dread(formerly Jamaican best) have nothing on the youth in red. He said there was another in white. He said Carlo(Adelphi) said they was Ron Atkins(former English pro) son but I told him it maybe your son. He said the one in white was Ok but the one in red stopped traffic.

If we were wondering if there is any doubt in what you post well I am 100% converted as my friend had no motives and he has seen many good youngsters. We might just have to marry him as a youth bride to get him in the Jamaican colors

yes....those were my boys. Adelphi were playing against Longwood University..the team I coached with last year....they were having a bit of fun before the game and half time...the one with the red top (Arsenal top) was William..he was juggling across the field and back...my young one had the chelsea uniform on...they werent even really doing anything...trust me..if had seen them really play or dribble...he wouldn't have believed it..the head coach came up to me after the game and said some very nice things about them.

William was just relaxing really..we were trying to get someone to play one on one with him..or play agianst him..including the longwood girls team...they didnt want to take any chances in front of all those people :-)..and the older ball boys were like no way...

Longwood played UVA two weeks ago...and the crowd went mad..there were 2000 people there...the UVA players just stopped during there warm up..and stared...it was great..Thanks for the kind words...

Yes Longwood, sorry. Well mi friend played on St.John's championship team in the 90s and he has been a youth coach since then working with many talented youths and he was impress by your son skills telling me how he was the best he has seen at juggling the ball as a kid.

As I said he didn't know it was your son but said his team was really impressed by the youth's skill. Adelphi is the champion for the regular season and he said he will be at Longwood in another two weeks again as they are hosting the playoff so he will have time to talk to you, if you are there.

Good work sah, with that kind of skill on display your academy must be doing well.

I live up in the DC area...so I dont know if I will get down there for the games...what is his name again? We drove down there last second to see the game...it is a long drive for us..3 hours..and long for the boys..they were tired from the drive. We will see thoug if we can make it..

The game was poor really...Longwood was not to clever..and Adelphi should have won by more. The Jamaica kid from Portmore did well...and the Brasiian...the number 20 on their team was very fast..but his technical ability wasnt great. Adelphi I have done well this year though so all the credit to them in there success.

        Thanks again for the information.

Aldephi has done well coming from a 1-4 record to a 10-5 record because of an injury to their goalie at the begining of the season. Not bad.

I haven't seen any college games this year since have moved from NY to Georgia and is currently not working in higher ed.

Kurt Palmer is a friend of mine and he used to play for my team I managed in NY in the 90s. He is assistant at Adelphi and formerly of St.Francis. I have met Carlo(the head coach) a few times.

Good luck to your kids, I was telling him that you had some clubs monitoring your son and he said he could see why. If you are there he will say hi to you. He knew you from the Jamaican setup.

yes...their record has improved tremendously from last year..I will try and get down for the tournament.

we are actually going to London for 2 weeks after Thanksgiving. we are staying with one of the coaches at Arsenal...and William will be training with their academy U-9's for those two weeks..even though he is 6. We will be at West Ham and Chelsea as well...but Arsenal's U-9's train 3 times per week and then a game on Sundays so he won't have much time to go anywhere else this go around. My little one (4 yrs.) will get to train with the 6's and 7's on Fridays..as well as William.

I will look out for them.

I have my little one turning 3 soon, I have taught him to kick but he is also using it on other kids .

Good luck to you. I maybe talking to you next year about development tips.

funny..my two showed no interest...at all...and I just let them get on with whatever they wanted....it wasnt until 2 years ago..literally from this month...that they both started playing...so William was 4 and Michael 2...but when they are hooked..they are hooked..
