  • Big respect to the Red Stripe people who kept the vibez

going throughout the entire match. While sitting there with Balla, with the Gate 7 Kru, I reminded him of the dayz when Courtney and the rest of the local chapter of the RBSC got a band together for football matches. It didn't work because Jamaicans are used to watching matches in silence. I remember people telling dem to stop di noise!

Well, for the Mexico match last Saturday, when I sat in the grandstand, someone did remark, "So, when dem gwine stop di drumming?"

    I had to laff.

But we getting there. For much of the match, especially at Gate 7, there was noise and organised cheering during the match. From the national anthem, to When The Boyz Go Marching In, to whatever. The last 2 minutes was non-stop cheering as the fans urged the ref to blow off the game.

Wi getting there, and Red Stripe is doing a great job. Nuhbody cyaan mek dem stop di "noize" and dem shouldn't!
