    FORT LAUDERDALE,
Yesterday, the team was ready to have its last training session in the United States before leaving for Jamaica, looking for a place in the hexagonal round of qualification for the World Cup in South Africa, when the unwanted guest suddenly appeared: rain.
La Bicolor could train for only a few minutes, do some stretching and certain speed reaction exercises and did not manage to play the morning game before departing for the Caribbean.
After the exercises directed by the physical trainer Eduardo Velasco, the players had to take refuge in the hotel since a severe heavy shower fell in Fort Lauderdale, the reason why Reinaldo Rueda could not prepare the strategy for the encounter with the Caribbean team.
La Bicolor all are conscious of the importance of the duel against the Jamaicans who they see a rival that can complicate things for them.
Emilio Izaguirre is not worried about his rivals since they have already played against them. “We are clear in our minds what we have to do because they are at home but we are confident that we will be able to obtain the result.
“There is a great difference between the Jamaican team that we beat in San Pedro Sula and this one, because they will have good crowd support and the team will respond to the encouragement from the fans,” said Izaguirre.
Honduras is the leader of the group B that also includes Mexico and Canada. The Catrachos players are humbled by the fact that they are currently ahead of three great teams.
“It is necessary to respect the original team, but there will always be opportunities and the work they put out on the field will give everyone a chance to contribute, whether it’s a little or a lot, the important thing is to contribute,” said Miguel Castillo.
The unity of the team has been the main strength of the National Team.
“The team is very united and we will only try to continue playing the same soccer and to assimilate what professor Rueda says to us”, indicates Castillo.
“The great objective is World Cup South Africa 2010 and nothing else. I am convinced that we will qualify and the entire group feels the same.
“We all hope to fulfill that objective and it is the reason why we are here ", he assured. The team did not train fully, they only saw videos of their rival at noon and Rueda held a technical session thinking about the team to play against the Reggae Boyz. The day will arrive when he faces off with their enemy Jamaica at the national stadium in Kingston.
The entire Catracho team will leave for Jamaica, and attacker Carlos Costly will join them in the Caribbean city because his visa to the USA had expired.
But before traveling to Jamaica, the team will have morning training at the Holiday Inn hotel field at 8:00 where the team selector Reinaldo Rueda will name the team that will face the Reggae Boyz.

    • Climate. In Fort Lauderdale it has rained Sunday and yesterday Monday. Rain avoided the training of yesterday of the Selection. These days the climate is very rainy in the city.
    • All ready. The team has not reported any injuries or suspensions. They are with the full team that played against Canada the previous Saturday.
