Resurgent Leicester maintained their unbeaten run with an impressive 2-1 victory over Stoke.
Rob Kelly's men are now undefeated in eight league games and move above the Potters in the Championship after goals from Iain Hume and Stephen Hughes secured the three points.
Stoke came to the Walkers Stadium full of confidence after the 5-0 thrashing of Norwich at the weekend and took the lead when Ricardo Fuller struck in the 41st minute.
But Leicester's response was almost immediate as Hume equalised before the break and Hughes ensured victory with a well-taken strike on the hour.
Captain Paddy McCarthy was thrust into the starting line-up as fellow defender Gareth McAuley was suspended after his sending off against QPR at the weekend.
The 23-year-old Republic of Ireland international made a surprise return as a substitute at Loftus Road and wore a mask at the Walkers Stadium to protect a broken nose sustained against Southampton.
McCarthy was one half of a new centre-back pairing as the Foxes were forced to move Darren Kenton into the heart of the defence when Patrick Kisnorbo (knee) failed a late fitness test.
There was better news for Tony Pulis, however, as Andy Griffin and Darel Russell were deemed fit to start after both recovered from respective back and calf strains.
Early on midfielder Danny Tiatto brought the crowd to life with a surging run.
The Australia international controlled a Logan pass in the centre circle and went on a mazy run, beating two defenders only to shoot wide.
Tiatto had another opportunity to give Leicester the lead eight minutes later but he was again wasteful. Elvis Hammond and Andy Johnson combined to create space for the midfielder on the edge of the box, but his shot sailed into the stands.
The Potters should have taken the lead in the 31st minute when Higginbotham was free inside the box but the defender failed to direct Hendrie's inswinging corner beyond Logan.
Higginbotham made up for his mistake in the 41st minute, however, when his free-kick found Fuller who struck past a helpless Logan for his fourth league goal of the season.
The Foxes drew level three minutes later when Hume scored after a Momo Sylla free-kick was only partially cleared, slotting home from 12 yards for his fifth goal in as many league games.
Both teams started the second half brightly with Fuller and Richard Stearman going close, but it was Leicester who took the lead through Stephen Hughes after good work by Stearman on the flank.
Hughes collected Stearman's pass and beat Steve Simonsen with a low 25-yard shot into the corner.
In the 75th minute, Fuller looked to have beaten Logan for a second time but thankfully for the goalkeeper the crossbar did his work for him and directed the striker's shot away from danger.
