  • Honduras come in at 7:10pm

Honduras were unable to train yesterday in Fort Lauderdale as the weather conspired against them. After warming up, stretching and doing some speed drills, they were forced off the field and into the hotel rooms (Holiday Inn) by heavy showers which went on into the evening. Reports indicate that they were preparing to work on specific strategies which would be used against Jamaica. They would have come up with these ‘strategies’ after watching tapes of the Jamaica, Mexico game which the home side won 1-0 on Saturday night.
The players, who have been in Florida since Sunday morning, know the importance of the game and realize that the Reggae Boyz will not be the same team which they ‘ran around 2-0’ one month ago. “We are quite sure of what they are going to do as they are at home, but we are confident that we can get a good result,” defender Emilio Izaguirre told JamaicaWin.com.
“There is a great difference between the Jamaica we played in San Pedro Sula and the one we are going to face in Jamaica. They are more motivated and they have the support of their fans.”
“The objective is the World Cup and nothing more. I am convinced that we will qualify and the entire team is convinced of that.”
The team will arrive in Jamaica today at 7:10pm, but before that, they will train in the morning at 8:00, when coach Reinaldo Rueda will decide on the starting team for Wednesday’s crucial game. Reports are that he will name the same eleven which beat Canada 3-1 on Saturday.
Sunday, August 28th, 2011. We will never forget !!
