The USL 1 championship between the host Vancouver Whitecaps and the Puerto Rico Islanders is now on Fox Soccer Channel. There is no score after 15 minutes.

The announcer said Puerto Rico and Vancouver have tied four times in the last five games.

Also, the announcer said one Vancouver player has missed two previous USL 1 championship matches, once due to injury and the second due to a suspension. In a previous season, the player recieved a second yellow card for taking off his jersey after scoring the game winning goal.

Vancouver won the game 2-1. Charles Gbeke (Ivory Coast) scored both goals for the Whitecaps.

All three goals were scored in the second half.
