You hang on to veteran players when the other options are not deemed viable.. simple.

Why would anyone sit a younger, better, faster, fitter, smarterfootball player ?

FIFA World Cup qualifying football is a HIGHLY technical and strategic form of the game.. a chess match.

No-one is stopping the JFF from playing friendlies against quality opponents and givingyounger players some experience.

Which local grown midfielder can operate at the efficiency of a Tappa or Andy Williams right now ? Jermaine Hue comes close.. other than that who else ?

There are many teams that rely on veterans to stabilize their teams.. they are also able to develop younger players.. I wonder how they are able to do this ?

That's what most of us were saying. Why weren't we giving some of these players a run in the friendlies? Even Shawn Sawyers could never be between the sticks unless Ricketts was injured. Thank goodness for the Digicel Cup. We would never have known how good many players were.



Yes, come World Cup time, draw for the best, and that included Tappa, but we could have taken a look at so many others long before that.
