We are not a creative short passing team. We cannot play the ball in the middle of the field. We will lose the ball and be exposed on counter attack.

Well said Bricktop,we need to play to our strength that is solid workmanlike midfield and attacking the flanks with speed and skill that is our strength.

            Good side

A good side and much better.

RS should have asked you before the lasty 3 matches and results would have been interesting, but stay with a k-4-4-2 and go forward more than backward (defend). Easy to defend from this by withdrawing one strike into the mid field to play against a team atacking at you with a k-3-5-2. Right Mosiah?

Attacking players like keeping the ball in the opposing teams half or nearer their opponent goal. Again some that RS knew but was not willing to execute with young players who he did not coach in the transitional aspects of football.

I was referring to the opponent. Teams like Mexico and Honduras play through the middle. The only way we can challenge them is a packed midfield with a defensive midfield player (ball winner) who puts in tackles and wins the ball more than often.

They play the short passing game inside and not out. In away games we will defend more.

Dunny when youre playing away you have to play based how the opposing team plays. You cannot just attack for the sake of it. You have to play smart football to get results.

Having speed is one thing but trying to execute without a gameplan like what Simoes did is another thing. We got burned doing that.

A whey you get that from? How many times they go wide and square the ball? Who look like they were playing in the middle? We or them?

No one said they dont also use the wing option but there general build up play is concentrated from the middle. In Honduras they pass out to the wings because Suazo has pace and can run at defenders and cut inside or did you miss that?

That has been our downfall, we went on the road and played with too much fear, thats the reason we only have 1 point. We could've been more positive.Nothing wrong with sucking in your opponents and hitting them on the break.

re-read my post. I never said anything about playing with fear. What I said was that one has to play smart football. Sure we showed a little too much respect to Mexico and I think Honduras to some extent but the Canada game couldve been a winnable one. The game of football today is about tactics and formations that work. Simoes felt that we should play bunker style football and it backfired. Bunker style football never really works most of the time. For you to succeed at it you have to make zero mistakes.
