Mexico (1st)- 2 home games/2wins
points - 6, gd +4
scenario: they should beat Canada comfortably which will give them 9 points and a virtual shoe into the next round really needing only one more point in three road games. Which they should get comfortably hopefully not against Jamaica which will be their first road game.
Canada (3rd) - 2 home games/1 draw 1 loss
points - 1, gd -1
scenario: sticky on them they are going to have to win 3 road games in order to go through...highly unlikely, pack it up till next campaign...they can however stop either Jamaica or Honduras from going through...something to play for perhaps.
Honduras (2nd) - 2 road games/1 loss 1 win
points - 4, gd - 0
scenario: assuming that they beat Mexico and Canada at home, and Jamaica beat Canada and Mexico at home, depending on Wednesday result; Honduras's victory against Canada in Canada with Jamaica's draw against the same team will prove to be the major difference between Honduras and Jamaica and why Honduras make it to the next round. Their key fixture is definately Wednesday they can't afford to lose...they are in the drivers seat for second place if they take care of home
Jamaica (4th) - 2 road games/1 draw 1 loss
points - 1, gd - -2
scenario: drawing with Canada might prove to be the fixture that sinked our campaign. The most important fixture remaining for us is not Wednesday in Honduras...but it is October 11th against Mexico in Jamaica. The Honduras game is a can't lose game while the next mexico game is a must win in order to keep up the pressure on Honduras. The key thing to remember is Mexico goes to Honduras in the last game of this group...which will more and likely be a meaningless game for Mexico while being a must win for Honduras...while we will be playing Canada in a must win for us...while it is a pride game for Canada.
Again, I thank God for that Storm...hopefully Mexico comes less than full strength to Jamaica next which will give us a good chance to win in a must win game.
Best case for Jamaica: we get a good result against Honduras...and Honduras slip up in their final 2 home games
