The 2008-2009 Digicel National Premier League will commence on Sunday September 14, 2008, two weeks after it was initially scheduled to begin, while the Under-21 League will start two days earlier on Friday September 12, 2008.
Both dates will see a full schedule of matches being played.
Sunday August 31 was initially scheduled as the kick off date for the Digicel National Premier League and Friday September 5 the Under-21 League.
The official press conference at which new National Premier League sponsors Digicel will outline their plans for the League and details of the competition outlined, will take place on Friday September 12, 2008.
Listed below are the fixtures for the opening day matches which will be the same for both Leagues. Times for the matches will be announced at a later date.

Tivoli Gardens FC vs Meadhaven FC at Edward Sega Complex
Boys’ Town FC vs Arnett Gardens FC at Collie Smith Drive

Harbour View FC vs Village United FC at Harbour View
Sporting Central Academy vs Reno FC at Brancourt
