RICARDO GARDNER is preparing to revert back to a more attacking role for Saturday's game against West Bromwich Albion. The long-serving Jamaican, who in recent seasons has featured as a full-back, is likely to step into the void created by Matt Taylor's enforced absence through injury. And the versatile star, who netted on his Wanderers debut a decade ago against the Baggies, has insisted he is happy to play anywhere for the Club.
He said: "I'll play wherever the manger needs me to play, but it does feel good to play up front again."
"I don't really have a favourite position but I like to get forward."
Gardner believes that Saturday's game will provide Wanderers with the opportunity to atone for Tuesday night's disappointing exit from the Carling Cup.
He added: "We need to show what we can do after Tuesday. That was a poor performance and we know we can do better than that. It is an important game for the manager and an important game for us. We want to keep our home form going in the league after playing well against Stoke."
