<SPAN class=heading>ROGERS RELEASED BY BANTAMS</SPAN> <SPAN id=intelliTXT name="intelliTxt"><P nd="1">Bradford have released Alan Rogers in a move they hope will allow them to keep Jermaine Johnson and Donovan Ricketts at the club.<P nd="2">Rogers had been at the club on a week-to-week deal but manager Colin Todd has decided to use the funds to finance improved offers for the Jamaican pair.<P nd="3">Todd now expects Ricketts and Johnson to commit themselves to the Bantams but admits that letting Rogers go was hard.<P nd="4">He said: "It is disappointing for Alan and for me. The reason Al's had to go is because I have got to utilise that money for the two players' contracts.<P nd="5">"Now those deals will be done. All the groundwork has already been completed and everything has been agreed.<P nd="6">"I had to look at it and take my time making a decision. The most important thing is trying to get the stability at this football club of the players on contracts."</SPAN>
