  • Simones Man 2 Man Managerial Skills

must be poor......when the other players from England offered their services in 1998, they were players of the lower league of English football, easy to manage & well willing to do what the boss says....they came looking for a pick.

Now roll the clock forward, 10 years on.The players of the higher league of the same system are not in the squad, only the home grown ones who have made it in that country. Why are like of Nosworthy & King really out in the cold ?.....

did he get us to the dance with those "easy to manage players of the lower leagues"? i think that result speaks for itself.....

Maybe so but times have moved on...What took us to the promised land then might not take us there now.

Players from lower leagues? I thought Frank Sinclair (Chelsea) Deon Burton , Derryl Powell (Derby County) and Robbie Earl (Wimbledon) were all from EPL teams. Then there were Paul Hall & Fitzroy Simpson (Pourtsmouth) from the Championship. What lower leagues are you talking about.

Gentlemen you are all forgetting one thing, the JFF are broke they cannot afford airfares for the overseas based players etc. This is not simoes team this team is picked by The JFF to save money.

What I see here is Simoes seems consistent with his statement that we will only go with players who are 100% committed.

ah boy...I can't believe you Raggs...so ummm if Simoes did pick the "higher end" ballers would we have won the World Cup. Please elaborate on which ballers wanted to come and play for us and Simoes didn't pick them. Let me enlighten you...these are the players that Simoes publicly requested to play for us and they initially turned us down and they were playing in the "top flight".
              1) David James - committed to England
              2) Marcus Gayle - change his mind as soon as we qualified
              3) Robbie Earl - change his mind as soon as we qualified
There are a lot more...I just can't remember them and I don't want to put up false information. So your opinion is not entirely accurate because is money run this thing and if playing for Jamaica is not financially beneficial for one of your "high end" possible players they are not coming...plain and simple.

Look like dem yute yah jus come Dread.
I see many dissing Frank too and not remember that the man even scored in Champions League for Chelsea back in the day. Many want to write off his career with two own goals in consecutive weeks when he played for Leicester.
