    By Paul-Andre Walker, Staff Reporter

Jamaica's Young Reggae Boyz made a bright start to their Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-20 World Cup qualifying series in Haiti after dispatching the Netherland Antilles 2-0 yesterday.

.Ricardo Wilson (21st minute) and Nicholas Beckett (71st) scored the goals.

Dr. Dean Weatherly, Jamaica's coach, said: "We looked a little disjointed at times but that is the first-game jitters. After we settled down, we gave a good account of ourselves and a win is a win," said Dr. Weatherly.

"It is good for us to win the first game in a tournament like this. We have come and put our best foot forward and shown the competitors that we are here to make a statement," said Dr. Weatherly, in response to his team's performance.

In the day's other game, Haiti destroyed Bermuda in an 11-1 affair to lead the Group on goal difference.

The Jamaicans are set to take on Bermuda in their next match tomorrow at 4 p.m. local time.

"We don't know much about Bermuda but we hope we can repeat or do better than that," Dr. Weatherly said, responding to the result of the Haitian game. </DIV>
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
