LONDON (AFP) - John Terry believes Chelsea are primed to overtake Manchester United and reclaim the Premier League title.
Terry's side were forced to play second fiddle to United last season as Sir Alex Ferguson's side pipped them to the Premier League and then beat the Blues in the Champions League final.
It was an especially painful finale for Terry, who missed the penalty that would have won the European final.
But the Chelsea captain is convinced he will get revenge this season because he suspects United have peaked, while Luiz Felipe Scolari's team are still improving.
"They (Manchester United) have had two good years and you have to stand back and take your hat off to them, but we know we were good last year and we have another level to go to," Terry said.
"Last year I think we saw the very best of Man United, but we have got an awful lot to come from last year.
"We have got improvements to make, but I think Man United are at their peak.
"The Premier League is the one we want and when the Champions League starts again, it's going to be exciting."
