        Young Boyz beat Bermuda 4-0

Jamaica booked their place in the second phase of the CONCACAF Under-20 World Cup qualifiers after beating Bermuda 4-0 for their second win in as many games in the four-team tournament at the Truman Bodden Sport Complex in Cayman Islands yesterday.

Two goals each from Alanzo Adlam (22nd and 44th minutes) and Levaughn Williams (50th and 57th minutes) gave the Jamaicans a convincing victory and secured their spot in the next round.

Bermuda were reduced to 10 men after Roger Lee was ejected after a second bookable offence.

Jamaica's coach Donovan Duckie gave much credit to Alfredo Montesso, whom he said laid the foundation for the team's success.
"It was a good performance. We have been asking for some goals and yesterday we worked from middle to final third.and you saw the work today (Friday) as we got three goals off those movements from the session," he pointed out.

He was also full of praise for his goal-scorers and though the team has qualified with a game to spare, he says they will remain focus.
"All the games are important to us and we want to maintain our unbeaten run in this tournament and use it as preparation going into the next phase," he said.

His counterpart Jack Castle said his team just did not turn up to play.
"They didn't follow the instruction that was given to them.but I don't think we are out of it," he said.

Romario Campbell had the first chance of the match three minutes into the contest, but after eluding two defenders on top of the area, he booted wide.

Four minutes later, Andre Clennon also had an effort just wide from inside the box.

The Jamaicans dominated possession, but Bermuda had a glorious chance to go ahead in the 16th minute. However, Casey Castle headed against the bar after Shayne Hollis headed a corner kick back across the face of goal.

The Boyz continued to create good chances and in the 21st minute Romario Campbell again got by two defenders, but had his fierce shot parried by Mikkail Crockwell in the Bermuda goal.

The Jamaicans went ahead when Adlam won possession in midfield and dribbled to the top of the area before unleashing a low shot past the outstretched arms of goalkeeper Crockwell.

The young Boyz went further ahead before the break as Romario Campbell played another of his masterful through balls to Palmer, who found Adlam with a low cross, and the striker swept home from 12 yards.

Jamaica's dominance continued into the second half, and five minutes after the interval, Palmer sent Williams clear inside the area and he slipped the ball past Crockwell from close range to make it 3-0.

Williams made it 4-0 in the 61st when his angled shot was deflected past Bell.

Bermuda's best attempt in the second half came from Tumaini Steede, but his well-struck effort from outside the area was easily handled by goalkeeper Andre Blake.

The Bermudians then went down to 10 men in the 70th minute when Lee picked up his second yellow card for pulling back Romario Campbell.

Teams: Jamaica - Andre Blake, Andre Campbell (Christopher Banner 80th), Levaughn Williams, Ramone Palmer, Alanzo Adlam (Andre Steele 62nd), Romario Campbell, Davian Thorpe, Andre Clennon (Romeo Parkes 54th), Theo Brown, Keithy Simpson, Andre Darby.

        Booked: Andre Campbell (76th)

Subs not used: Yannick Salmon, Sean Fogah, Dennis Taylor, Shavon Brown

I thought this round is being played in the Cayman Islands.

Next match Sunday: Young Boyz against Carl Brown's Cayman Islands Boyz.
