Jamaica’s national football team, the Reggae Boyz, will continue preparation for their July 26 friendly international against Central American opposition, El Salvador, when they return to camp today.
The predominantly local-based squad will mark their return from a day’s break for their Pizza Hut Stadium in Friston, Texas assignment with a warm up against National Premier League team, Harbour View at 6:00pm at Harbour View.
On Saturday, the home-based boys’ in addition to the England-born Nathan Koo-Boothe, currently, unattached and longstanding number one goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts, completed a week-long training camp at Grand Lido Braco. Also included in the list of invitees are youngster John-Ross Doyley who is making a return from injury as well as Ricardo Cousins, Maedhaven’s Keammar Daley and Eric Vernan who have been absent from recent squads. Harbour View’s Kavin Bryan has also earned his first call up under Technical Director Rene Simoes.
Completing the list are Shawn Sawyers (Portmore United), Jermaine Taylor (Harbour View), O’Brian Woodbine (Reno), Keniel Moodie (Seba United), Adrian Reid (Portmore United), Lance Laing (Harbour View), Evan Taylor (Reno), Hugh Howell (Waterhouse), Javaughn Watson (Sporting Central) and James Thomas (Portmore United).
The 17-member party will depart the island on Wednesday for Texas where they will be joined by the United States-based duo of Andy Williams and Omar Cummings as well as Wolry Wolfe who plies his trade in Trinidad and Tobago with Joe Public FC.
