Yes, and yes but I'm not so sure that the best way he can serve and help Liberia is by running again for the presidency. A comprehensive look at Ellen Johnson's government and how her administration has (or has not)benefited Liberia should be the key stroke for Weah to take another look at running.

I'm sure there are other ways (corporations, non-profit organizations etc) in which he can look to play his part in Liberia moving forward. But yow!! George Weah coulda play some rhatid ball back in dem dere Italian days!

It will take a herculean effort for countries like Liberia & Sierra Leone to experience just a sliver of economic growth after many years of war & strife. Frankly put, countries like Haiti, Liberia & Serra Leone are hopeless.

One of my colleague from Ghana knows Weah quite well and he once mentioned that Weah's wife is from one of the islands, possibly Jamaica.
I believe he still has a home in New York and Jets there from time to time. Gold Coast ball in Florida is nice and very competitive; I believe Gamma may be able to attest to that. Anyway, I think what might've grabbed Weah when he visited Florida is the year-round good weather, pretty grass pitches and bright sunshine.

            Something to contemplate is this:
Say that his wife is Jamaican and the son matures into a top-notch player like his father, what country does he play for? USA, Liberia or ReggaeBoyz?
