The final squad of 20 Under-20 players which will represent the island in the Concacaf first-round World Cup Qualifiers from July 21-28 in the Cayman Island was announced yesterday.
The team will be captained by Naggo Head FC and Waterford High School player, Andre Darby.
The other players are Romario Campbell, Andre Blake, Andre Clennon, Theo Brown, Ramone Palmer, Damaine Thompson, Alonzo Adlam, Andre Campbell, Sean Fogah, Kadian Wynter, Levaughn Williams, Dennis Taylor, Andre Steele, Damion Thorpe, Keithy Simpson, Romeo Parkes, Christopher Bonner, Yanique Salmon and Dever Orgill.
Striker Orgill is still nursing a minor ankle injury from last week. However, the Vancouver Whitecaps' forward did light training yesterday and looks set to get back to full fitness.
Meanwhile, national Senior midfielder Evan Taylor has been left out to concentrate on Senior team duties.
The Under-20 squad will travel to Montego Bay today where they will play the local Seniors in a practice match at the Braco Village, starting at 4:00 this afternoon.
Assistant coach Donovan Duckie said since the team has been in camp they have played at least one match every week.
"We did not want to break that momentum," he told the Observer.
However, he revealed that with only a week to go they want to minimise injuries and against the Senior team they will have more control (of the players) and more quality.
"The two teams are ours so we don't have to risk any injuries," Duckie said.
