Fuller fillip for Potters boss
Stoke striker Ricardo Fuller is set to be fit for the start of the Premier League season after undergoing knee surgery.
Fuller sustained a knee injury on international duty for Jamaica in a friendly against Grenada earlier this month.
It was feared the damage could sideline the 28-year-old for a lengthy period, but he has undergone successful surgery at renowned specialist Dr Richard Steadman's practice in America.
Potters boss Tony Pulis admitted it was a major boost to find out the injury was not as serious as first feared.
"He's had a small operation on his knee," Pulis told the Sentinel.
"They are telling us they didn't find any serious problems in there and that obviously comes as a relief.
"We've been told we've got to go steady with Ric for the first week or 10 days of pre-season training."
