  • Audi upset with Man Utd treatment

    tribalfooball.com - June 08, 2008

Audi are set to quit their deal with Manchester United.

The People says the German car-maker has become increasingly frustrated that all the players are given a motor but only a handful actually drive them.

That means the stars and their cars rarely get snapped by photographers and, therefore, the deal isn't value for money.
Manager Sir Alex Ferguson and midfield star Paul Scholes are regularly spotted driving theirs, and Rio Ferdinand occasionally turns up to training in his. But the rest of the squad prefer their even more flash motors and often lend their Audis to friends and agents.
"Jamaica's future reflects its past, having attained only one per cent annual growth over 30 years whilst neighbours have grown at five per cent." (Article)

Audi would be better off signing deals with individual players...autos are not like a kit deal, or football equipment...
