    Who saw the match?
    Your impressions?
Will the match be re-broadcast...if so, where?

It is always hard to tell with Canada NoMercy. Every cycle is suppose to be their year to qualify and they always seem to fall flat each time. Even with this current group I think they have as much potential to finish last in the semi-final round as they do of getting to the hex. That goes for any of the 3 teams not named Mexico. Glad to see they come away with a good result against Brazil. Was it a competitive game? - T.K.
No need to thank me forumites.

Hmmmm...It will be a crap shoot in the group of death. The 2 dark horse (Jamaica and Canada) might actually make it to the hex. Mexico is not a lock and might not make it...especially if them no use the Swede.

As a football purist I would really be surprised if this Can

adian team do not make it to the final round. This is the best canadian squad I have seen and even though they are from different leagues all over the world , most of these players is a continuity of their youth system over the years unlike Jamaica. Personally on any given day this team can give any of the other concacaf opponents headaches with their speed and composure.

The Guzman goal was a thunderbolt against a strong brazillian team.

Canada created a lot of chances and the brazillian last goal was a back pass giveaway by Guzman who had a great game. This guy was voted as the mvp for his spanish la liga team. The dreadlock in the centre half look steady for Canada. Their next game is against Panama and then St.vincent and grenadine in the qualifying . Remember I say it ...Canada have a very strong squad who can compete with the best that concacaf have.On paper they are are more experienced, younger, faster and playing longer together than the jamaican squad which is still not steady yet. They have one of the best 1st /2nd string goalkeeper in this region. They have the tallest striker in the region who played in Germany. They have the Mls mvp(striker) for about 3 years now. These are not just big kick players but players from third generation caribbean, african, portugese etc background who are good with the ball at their feet. After seeing this game against a strong brazillian team of Robinho, Adreano, Pato,Juan, alves etc, JAMAICA chances look slimer with their late start in preparating for South Africa.

Canada impressive in loss to powerhouse Brazil
Robinho scored in the second half and set up two goals as Brazil managed a 3-2 victory over a Canadian men's team that didn't back down from the five-time World Cup champions in a soccer friendly last night.

              The Canadian Press
SEATTLEā€“A strong performance against one of the best soccer teams in the world shows the potential and promise of the men's national team as it ramps up for World Cup qualifying play.
Canada held its own in a 3-2 loss to Brazil on Saturday night in an international friendly played before more than 47,000 fans at Qwest Field. If not for a bad pass by midfielder Julian de Guzman late in the game, and a miss on a clear breakaway by Issey Nakajima-Farran in the first half, the Canadians could have walked off the pitch with a tie, or maybe even an upset.
"It shows Canada has taken it to another level," said de Guzman, who also scored a goal, forced the Brazilian keeper to make a good save on another shot and was one of the best Canadians on the pitch.
"I think this is the best team we have ever fielded. We have something going for us."
Several of the veteran players reiterated de Guzman's view that this could be the most talented men's team Canada has ever assembled. The squad moves the ball well, plays an attacking style and can be tough on defence.
"This is pretty much the best group of guys I have played with," said midfielder Tomasz Radzinski. "This is the most talented, the most skilful, the most fit. It looks good for us."
Amidst all the optimism, coach Dale Mitchell offered a word of caution.
He doesn't want his team, ranked 62nd in the world, too full of itself heading into its World Cup qualifying series against St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
"We have to concern ourselves with a bit of a letdown," said Mitchell. "Most people probably wouldn't have thought we could be as close to Brazil. Some people will think St. Vincent & the Grenadines won't be that close to us. The fact is, in international football, it can happen. We have to do everything to prepare for it."
That being said, Mitchell was pleased with what he saw against Brazil, ranked No. 2 in the world.
"The match just shows that we have the players that can play a patient game, that can keep the ball, that can go forward, that can create opportunities," he said. "And we have people that can put the ball in the back of the net, which has always been a question mark with our team."

Yeah...from the clip I saw they played a FULL BRAZILIAN X1. Sure Kaka and Ronaldinho were missing...but the replacements were good quality players.
