Chelsea flop not wanted in US

    Last Modified: 25 May 2008
    Source: ITN

The fortunes of £31million Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko have hit rock bottom.
His career has plummeted so low that clubs in America's Major League Soccer are reportedly turning down the opportunity to sign him.
Shevchenko's name is said to have been circulated to several MLS clubs as the want-away 31-year-old bids to quit Stamford Bridge.
But embarrassingly for the one-time best striker in the world, no team have shown interest and one MLS boss reportedly warned: "Managers don't want has-beens who are looking to wind down their careers."
The Ukrainian scored 173 goals for Milan between 1999-2006, before joining the Blues in 2006.
But he has failed to earn a regular spot in the team at Stamford Bridge, and has also been linked with a return to former club AC Milan.

It doesn't get any lower than this. Even Simon Ford could play for the Red Bulls right now!

Told TK from the H. View series I was not impressed with the team especially on the flanks.

With Quaranta playing better and the return of Fred they seem to be doing a little better.

You have to have that flank play because Gallardo is more of a deep passer than the Active Christian Gomez. They probably should have kept Gomez and acquire a discovery player for another position.
